Iowa State University issued the following announcement on April 3.
The Iowa State women's golf team wrapped up play at the Bruzzy Challenge this afternoon by finishing in a tie for second place with a three-round-total score of 909.
The Cyclones were in a battle coming down the stretch, but ultimately fell two strokes short of champion Texas A&M (907). ISU was four shots back heading into the final round.
The Cyclones placed well on the leaderboard with their top-five finishing in the top-20. Senior Celia Barquin Arozamena was the leader for the Cyclones by carding a 75 this afternoon. Barquin Arozamena tied for fourth at 223. It was her fourth top-10 finish this season and the 15th in her collegiate career, tying her for fourth place in school history.
Alanna Campbell and Nattapan Siritrai tied for 16th place at 230, while Chayanit Wangmahaporn and Amelia Grohn tied for 20th at 231.
The Cyclones will be back in action April 20-22 at the Big 12 Championship in Dallas, Texas.
